The flowers of Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve
Pull-out cards from a herbarium show more than 300 specimens of dried plants, which represent local flora and are subdivided by environments.
Thematic panels describe the characteristics and importance of the environments of the Reserve.
A plastic model of the Reserve shows an aerial view of these environments (damp areas, woods, old pastures and so on) as well as excursion trails and ancient farm-houses.
Use the computer stations to “navigate” in the interactive herbarium or test your ability in didactic games about flowers.
The interactive herbarium of the Museum of Flowers
The herbarium, which can be consulted from all museum stations and is available on CDs, illustrates the characteristics of more than 800 flower plants of the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve. Through cards, animations and thematic research systems, this precious file leads us to the discovery of thousands of curiosities and of a great variety of blooms in different environments. <<back to the list of sections
