The Museum of Flowers is a small naturalistic museum located in the woods of the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve.
From the games to the herbarium, from the workshop to the nature trail, every internal and external spot is dedicated to the many reading keys the flower theme can be dealt with, as well as to the thousands of relationships that these coloured entities entwine with the rest of the living world, of which we are an integrating part.
It is a place where it is possible to discover "all you ever wanted to know about flowers but never dared to ask". |
Why Acquapendente as the seat of a museum about flowers?
Maybe because around the museum, in the Nature Reserve, more than one thousand species of flower plants have been found. Or because the flower tradition is deeply felt in Acquapendente thanks to the festival of the Pugnaloni. Or perhaps because the building that hosts the museum is called the "Garden Farmhouse". But maybe because of all these things and many others. |
