D – What can a class do visiting the Museum of Flowers?
R -  The Museum offers an articulated complex of teaching proposals which range from a simple guided visit to day-long activities, aimed laboratories, school camps or summer camps. The main naturalistic themes concern flowers and their relationships with insects, but even far-reaching arguments like the landscape, the knowledge of the territory and the rocks, the local traditions.
D – How long does it take to visit the museum?
R – It depends on the activity you chose. A simple guided visit takes from one to two hours. The day-long activity usually begins at 10,00 a.m., it stops one hour between 1,00 p.m. and 2,00 p.m. and finishes between 4,00 and 5,00 p.m. But these are approximate schedules and they may change upon request according to specific needs.

D – Which range of age are didactic activities addressed to?
R – The proposals of the Museum as a whole, which can as well be seen online by the address ---, are divided into groups of activities dedicated:
to the nursery school and to the first cycle of primary school,
to the second cycle of primary school,
to the first degree of secondary school,
to the second degree of secondary school.

D -  May a bus of standard dimensions (some 50 seats) reach the Museum?
R -  The Museum is a little more than 2 km of country road away from the village of Torre Alfina. The road is large and the road-bed is good, with no sharp bends so that a bus can run along it in any season. In front of the Museum gate a large square allows manoeuvres and parking.

D -  Is it possible to ask for personalized didactic activities?
R -  The contact personnel and the operators of the Museum are at disposal for any specific didactic need. All the proposals are flexible and adaptable, also considering the available instruments, spaces, and tools of the structure: educational laboratory with microscopes, library, play room, nature trail, botanical garden, didactic windmill and so on.

D -  Is it possible to have teaching aids?
R -  In addition to a folder and a catalogue of teaching proposals (“L’Ape Verde”), the Museum offers two different series of books available for school-classes and teachers:
“Quaderni del Museo del Fiore” (Exercise-books by the Museum of Flowers) – until now the following titles have been edited: “The Flora of the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve” and “Plants and the local tradition in Acquapendente”,
“Taccuini del Museo del Fiore” (Note-books by the Museum of Flowers), specially dedicated to the world of school and to teachers – until now the following titles have been edited: “The flower: a trip into nature, traditions, legends, curiosities and…”, “Water, mud, dust and rocks” (concerning geology and landscape), “When man met the flower” (about anthropology and popular traditions).
